           In 1949, Toyo Umpanki Manufacturing Company (now TCM), built the first Forklift in Japan.  That next year TCM began to export their Lift trucks across the globe.  TCM entered into agreements with Clarklift and Mitsui to develop many options you might find on Lift trucks today.  Those arrangments ended a few years later in 1965.  In 1979, TCM created the industries first high visibility mast, which has been replicated by many current Forklift manufactures.  In 1988 TCM entered the U.S. market setting up manufacturing facilities in Columbia, South Carolina, where they still reside today.  1997 TCM became the 8th largest Forklift manufacture world wide.  Today TCM offers one of the highest quality Forklifts in the industry.  That is why it is a distinct pleasure to be able to offer a high quality Forklift that will stand up to many years of use.
